This all sounds well and good, so what, you ask, does it take to join the IC program?
Here are some of the things we’re looking for in our Independent Consultants:

  • An MBA or equivalent Masters’ degree in business, or at least three years of relevant startup or entrepreneurial experience.
  • A CPA or at least three years of experience in working with financial statements, including, but not limited to, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, valuations, & funding analysis.
  • The ability to develop and think through building financial assumptions from the ground up.
  • Good creative writing experience.
  • Experience working with charts, graphs, and various types of graphics.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work directly one on one with business owners.
  • An understanding of marketing, direct response marketing, and how to drive customers to a business.
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurial operations, financing, and management.
  • An understanding of digital media, including social media, SEO, SEM, PPC, etc.

These skills aren’t all required, and we offer training to you in many of these areas, but the more you have, the more likely you are to succeed as an IC.
